On the Session of Belarus-Germany Working Group on Trade and Investments

On March 21, 2013 the 11th Session of the Belarus-Germany working group on trade and investments took place in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus. The Belarusian part of the working group was headed by Mr.Alexander Averyanov, Head of the Department for Foreign Economic Activity, the German – by Mr.Andreas Neumann, Head of the Department for Cooperation with CIS Countries of the Federal Ministry of Economy and Technology of Germany.

During the session the parties discussed the state and prospects of Belarus-Germany trade and economic relations, investment cooperation, new opportunities for the development of interaction between Belarusian and German business entities in the context of the Customs Union of Belarus, Russia and Kazakhstan and Common Free Market Zone formation, including industrial cooperation and industrial localization on the territory of the Republic of Belarus.

The participants of the session discussed the development of small and medium businesses, professional and advanced training for the managerial human resources in the real sector of economy of Belarus, sharing of experience in the sphere of energy efficiency and renewable energy sources usage, cooperation in the sphere of logistics, information and communication technologies.


The parties considered the development of interaction between the Economic Ministries of Belarus and Germany and other institutions that promote the development of exports and country marketing.

The sides also discussed the organization of a number of economic activities in Belarus and Germany in 2013 and other issues of mutual interest.
