On Belarus – Poland Good Neighborliness Forum

On June 26-27, 2013 the 17th Belarus – Poland economic forum Good Neighborliness took place in Belostok.

The event was traditionally organized by the Polish-Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Belarus together with the relevant ministries and diplomatic missions of the two countries.

The main theme of the Forum was “Regional cooperation in agriculture and food economy – driving force for investment and trade cooperation between Poland and Belarus.”

The Belarusian delegation at the Forum included Mr.Viktor Gaisenok, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Poland, Mr.Alexander Averyanov, Head of the Department for Foreign Economic Activities of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr.Dmitry Goluhov, Deputy Minister of Economy, Ms.Ludmila Nizhevich, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food, Mr.Alexander Rusanov, Deputy Chairman of Grodno Executive Committee, Mr.Mikhail Uhimuk,
Deputy Chairman of Brest Executive Committee, Mr.Vyacheslav Reut, First Deputy Head of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

In their speeches the participants of the Forum made their assessment of the state and prospects of Belarus-Poland economic relations development.

Within the Forum the Heads of the Ministries of Economy and Agriculture of the two countries held a number of meetings.

The discussions on cooperation in agricultural, bank and insurance sectors, as well as interaction in boundary regions took place.

The participants of the Forum visited polish enterprises that are interested in the development of cooperation with Belarus. The businessmen of the two countries held negotiations on joint export and investment projects.

The following Belarus-Poland economic Forum Good Neighborliness 2014 will take place in Brest.
