On the Participation of the Head of the Department of Legal Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Mr.Viktar Shautsou in the 60th Session of the Working Group II of the UNCITRAL
10 February 2014On February 3 – 7, 2014 the 60th session of the Working Group II (Arbitration and Conciliation) of the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) concluded its work in New York.
Belarus was represented at the deliberations of the Working Group by Mr.Viktar Shautsou, Head of the Department of Legal Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
As mandated by UNCITRAL, the Working Group has concluded the second reading of the draft convention on transparency in treaty-based investor-State arbitration. The draft convention provides for the legal basis for application of the UNCITRAL Rules on Transparency in Treaty-based Investor-State Arbitration (adopted 11 July, 2013) to inter alia investment treaties, concluded before that date.
