Ambassador of Belarus M.Kasko meets the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Sri Lanka

On October 9, 2025 the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to India and Sri Lanka, Mikhail Kasko, met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Sri Lanka, Vijit Herath.
During the meeting the parties discussed the current agenda of cooperation on the eve of the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
The issues of simplifying the visa regime and the expected positive effect of opening a direct flight between Belarus and Sri Lanka were discussed.
The Sri Lankan side expressed interest in the implementation of Belarusian investment projects in the country and the expansion of trade and economic cooperation between Minsk and Colombo.
