Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus M.Ryzhenkov meets the Ambassador of Ethiopia

On September 10, 2025 the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Maxim Ryzhenkov, received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia to the Republic of Belarus with residence in Moscow, Genet Teshome Jirru.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on topical issues of further development of traditionally friendly Belarusian-Ethiopian relations, including deepening political dialogue, strengthening trade and economic cooperation, and expanding educational and humanitarian ties.

Particular attention was paid to the implementation of the agreements reached following the visit to Belarus by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, Gedion Timotheos, in July 2025, including projects in the field of mechanisation of the agricultural sector in Ethiopia.

The schedule of upcoming contacts and joint events, as well as cooperation in international organisations, was discussed.

The Minister wished the Ambassador, who will soon present his Credentials to the Head of the Belarusian state, success and fruitful work for the benefit of the peoples of Belarus and Ethiopia.
