Second Session of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission to Take Place in Moscow

Second session of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission will take place in Moscow on March 19, 2012.

Belarusian delegation at the session will be headed by the Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus, Chairman of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission Sergei Rumas.

The agenda of the Council's meeting includes analysis of the issues related to the international positioning of the Commission, preparation for signing of the Treaty of reorganizing EurAsEC and creation of the Eurasian Economic Union, and amendments to the Common Harmonized Commodity Description and Coding System of the Customs Union and to some items of the Common Customs Tariff of the Customs Union. The parties are expected to examine the use in exceptional cases of special protective, anti-dumping and countervailing measures, changes to some decisions of the Commission related to import customs duty exemptions for some commodity groups.
