On the Visit to Maastricht of the Ambassador of Belarus to the Netherlands

On September 5, 2013 Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to the Netherlands Ms.Elena Gritsenko was on a working visit to Maastricht to take part in the annual awarding diploma ceremony in the Maastricht School of Management, one of the leading higher educational establishments of Europe.

The visit took place on the invitation of the outstanding Dutch politician, member of the Senate of the Netherlands, Chairman of the Maastricht School of Management Board Mr.Rene Van Der Linden.

Within the event Ms.Elena Gritsenko held negotiations with the leadership of the educational establishment. The parties discussed the prospects of bilateral cooperation in the sphere of education, including cooperation with higher educational establishments of Belarus.

Ms.Elena Gritsenko met with Director of the Department for Sustainable Economic Development of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands Mr.Jeroen Roodenburg who is also the Ambassador for Private Sector and International Cooperation. Ms.Elena Gritsenko informed the partner on the current economic development trends in Belarus, measures taken to create favourable business and investment climate in the country as well as the dynamics of Belarus-Netherlands trade, economic and investment cooperation. The sides agreed to further promote mutually beneficial trade, economic and investment projects in the spheres of mutual interest.
