On the Participation in the Discussion of the UN General Assembly on the Rights of Children
18 October 2013On October 17, 2013 during the discussion of the UN General Assembly on the rights of children Mrs.Irina Velichko, Deputy Director for Global Policy and Humanitarian Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus, informed the international community on the national achievements of Belarus to ensure the rights of children.
Mrs.I. Velichko announced the intention of Belarus in collaboration with the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) to hold in Minsk in 2014 the regional conference on the issue of strengthening national institutions for protection and promotion of the rights of children. Belarusian diplomat invited the leadership of the United Nations and representatives of the UN Member States to take part in this event.
