On the Meetings of Mr.Igor Leshchenya, Head of the Division for Africa and Middle East of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus, in Israel

On July 14–16, 2013 Mr.Igor Leshchenya, Head of the Division for Africa and Middle East of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus, held a number of meetings to discuss different directions of Belarus-Israel cooperation.

During the meeting with Ms.Sofa Landver, Minister of Immigrant Absorption of Israel, Co-Chair of Belarus-Israel Committee on trade and economic cooperation, the parties discussed the preparation for the IV session of the Joint Committee and the prospects of cooperation between sectoral ministries and representatives of business circles of the two countries.

During the meeting with Mr.Ze'ev Elkin, Deputy Foreign Minister of Israel, and Mr.Jakov Livne, Director of the Department Eurasia -1 of the Israeli Foreign Ministry, the parties discussed a wide range of issues of bilateral relations.

The ways of Belarus-Israel interparliamentary relations were considered during the meeting with the Chairman of the governmental coalition in Knesseth, who will be appointed Head of the League of Friendship with the Parliament of the Republic of Belarus.

The issues of joint projects implementation on the territory of Belarus with the assistance of Israeli corporation on exports and investments insurance «ASHRA» were discussed with the Senior Vice-President of the Holding.

Mr.Igor Leshchenya held meetings with Mr.Mikhail Alshansky, Chair of the All-Israeli Association of the descendants from Belarus. During the meeting the parties discussed the activities of the association in the development of bilateral relations.
