Plan of joint activities signed with the International Committee of the Red Cross on 2022

On January 26, 2022, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus Sergei Aleinik and the Head of the Delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in the Republic of Belarus Sebastian Fustier signed the Plan of joint activities of state and other organizations of the Republic of Belarus and the ICRC for 2022.

This Plan is aimed at coordinating the actions of the Belarusian state bodies and the ICRC. The document envisages projects on the implementation of international humanitarian law by state bodies and organizations of the Republic of Belarus, facilitation of the Belarusian Red Cross in strengthening capabilities to respond emergency situations, dissemination of information about the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement.

Background Information. The ICRC is an international humanitarian organization founded in 1863 in Switzerland. Acts on the basis of the principles of neutrality and impartiality, provides protection and assistance to victims of armed conflicts. It is an integral part of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement.
