Exhibition Opens in the Center of History of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and of the Belarusian Diplomatic Service

On May 16, 2012 an exhibition opened in the Center of History of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and of the Belarusian Diplomatic Service. The documentary exposition is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the outstanding Soviet state and party figure, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, native of Belarus, Petr Andreevich Abrasimov. The exhibition is timed to the 90th anniversary of the archive institutions and organs of the Republic of Belarus.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus Sergei Martynov opened the exposition. In his address the head of the Foreign Ministry noted the role of the archive services in preserving our history and presented to the Director of the Department for Archives and Record Keeping of the Belarusian Ministry of Justice, Vladimir Adamushko, the address of congratulations from the Belarusian Foreign Ministry, and electronic materials, dedicated to the history of the Belarusian diplomatic service.

The participants of the event learned about the main milestones of the life of P.A. Abrasimov.

The exhibition is based on the documents of the National Archive of the Republic of Belarus and Belarusian State Archive of Cinematic and Photographic Documents, as well as Archive of Foreign Policy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation and Russian State Archive of the Newest History.
