Delegation of Kursk Oblast of Russian Federation to Visit Belarus

On September 5-6, 2012 the delegation of the Kursk Oblast of the Russian Federation will pay a visit to the Republic of Belarus. Governor Aleksandr Mikhailov will head the delegation.

Sixth meeting of the Joint Working Group on Cooperation between the Republic of Belarus and Kursk Oblast will take place during the visit. Meetings in the Government are also in the schedule.

The program of the Kursk Oblast delegation includes visits to a number of enterprises, including PA “Minsk Tractor Works”, JSC “Minsk Automobile Plant”, JCS “Argicultural complex "Dzerzhynskiy", JSC "Managing company of Zabudova holding", JSC "Amkodor", JSC "Managing company of Belcommunmash holding".

The delegation will visit historical and cultural memorial "Stalin Line" and will take part in the wreath laying ceremony at the Monument on Victory Square.

A number of bilateral documents will be signed at the end of the visit.

Note: In January-June 2012 foreign trade between the Republic of Belarus and the Kursk Oblast made US$ 73.0 million and compared to the same period of 2011 rose by 25 percent. Exports made US$ 43.0 million, increasing by 5.4 percent, imports made US$ 30.0, increasing by 70.4 percent. The trade balance is positive at the level of US$ 13.0 million.
