On the Meetings of the Head of the Directorate for Multilateral Diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus Mr.Yury Ambrazevich in the U.S. State Department

On February 7, 2014 Head of the Directorate for Multilateral Diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus Mr.Yury Ambrazevich held a series of meetings with the leaders of several offices of the U.S. State Department.

Diplomats discussed the current Belarusian-American cooperation, as well as its prospects in the UN, UNESCO, the Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice and other multilateral formats.

The contacts that took place during the visit were a continuation of consultations on cooperation between Belarus and the United States in international organizations, also held between the parties in Washington in June 2013.

Successful cooperation between Belarus and the United States in the UN on the issue of combating human trafficking in 2013, as well as the outcome of these negotiations, suggest the serious potential for positive collaboration between Minsk and Washington in multilateral international forums on topics of mutual interest.
