Political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Belarus and Kuwait

On November 7, 2021 Kuwait City hosted the first round of political consultations in the history of bilateral relations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Belarus and Kuwait. 

The event was co-chaired by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Mikalai Barysevich, and the Deputy Foreign Minister Assistant for Europe Affairs of the State of Kuwait, Naser Al Hain.

During the consultations, the parties discussed various areas of bilateral cooperation, upcoming in 2022 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Belarus and Kuwait.

The sides reached a principle agreement on raising the level and intensifying the political dialogue between the two countries in the nearest future, developing the legal framework and maintaining a high level of interaction within international organizations. 

Special attention was paid to the issues of enhancing trade and economic cooperation, resuming the work of the Joint Commission on Economic, Trade and Technical Cooperation, as well as stimulating business contacts. 

Prospects for cooperation in the field of education, culture, tourism and were also discussed.
