Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus Sergei Aleinik Visits Mongolia

On September 10-11, 2012 Ulaanbaatar (Mongolia) hosts political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Belarus and Mongolia at the level of the Deputy Ministers.

Belarusian delegation on the consultations is headed by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Sergei Aleinik.

The agenda of the consultations includes the issues of bilateral cooperation in political, economic and humanitarian fields. The participants of the meeting will also discuss the prospects of cooperation within the United Nations and Non-Aligned Movement, as well as issues related to development of the legal and treaty base of bilateral cooperation.

During the visit to Mongolia S.Aleinik will meet the heads of the ministries of natural resources and energy, defense, agriculture, food and light industry, education ans science, Chamber of Industry and Commerce of Mongolia, and with the representatives of the Mongolian business circles. During the meetings the sides will discuss a wide spectrum of bilateral cooperation issues in respective areas.

 

Note: In 2011 the foreign trade between Belarus and Mongolia amounted to US$ 77.4 million (6-fold growth compared to 2010), exports were at US$ 77.4 million (5.8-fold growth), imports amounted to US$ 1.9 thousand (in 2010 there were no imports from Mongolia). The trade balance is positive at the level of US$ 77.4 million.

In January-July 2012 foreign trade between Belarus and Mongolia made US$ 37 million. Belarusian exports reached US$ 37 million, imports from Mongolia amounted to US$ 0.4 thousand.
