On the visit of Mr.Alexander Mikhnevich, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, to Warsaw

On May 27 – 29, 2013 high level meetings dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the Proliferation Security Initiative (PSI) take place in Warsaw. The Belarusian delegation headed by Mr.Alexander Mikhnevich, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, takes part in the events.

On May 28 within the high level political meeting Mr.Alexander Mikhnevich delivered the address to the participants of the meeting. The Belarusian diplomat informed on Belarus’ efforts in struggling against the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, including by means of observing legally binding mechanisms in the sphere of non-proliferation and the regulations of the international export control regimes.

Mr.Alexander Mikhnevich marked that Belarus contributes to the struggle against the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction by carrying out activities in the sphere, including working out the framework document on the implementation of the UN Security Council Resolution 1540 and the organization of the seminar for CIS state on the issues of the abovementioned Resolution implementation.
