On Belarus-Japan Consultations between Ministries of Foreign Affairs

On July 19, 2013 the consultations between Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Belarus and Japan took place in Minsk.

The Belarusian delegation was headed by Mr.Andrei Grinkevich, Director of the Division for Asia, Australia and Oceania, the Japanese – by Mr.Takeshi Hikihara, Deputy Director General of the European Affairs Bureau of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan.

During the meeting the parties discussed a wide range of issues of bilateral relations, including cooperation in trade, economic, credit, investment and humanitarian spheres.

Later on the same day Mr.Valentin Rybakov, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus, held a meeting with Mr.Takeshi Hikihara.

During the meeting the parties discussed the current state of Belarus-Japan relations, interaction in overcoming the consequences of the disaster at the atomic power station, and the prospects of humanitarian cooperation development.
