On Belarusian-Dutch Business Forum

On November 22, 2012 the Belarusian-Dutch Business Forum «20 years of economic partnership: key achievements and future prospects» took place in the Hague. The Forum was organized by the Embassy of Belarus in the Netherlands together with the Minsk department of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

More than 200 representatives of Belarus and Dutch companies, banks, Chambers of Trade and Industry, state institutions, municipal authorities and educational establishments took part in the forum.

At the forum plenary meeting Ms.Elena Gritsenko, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to the Netherlands, reported on the development of Belarus-Dutch trade, economic and investment cooperation over the last 10 years.  Ms.Elena Gritsenko informed the participants on the industrial, agricultural, technological and transit potential of Belarus and the measures taken to create favourable conditions for business and investments.
The forum included three thematic sections, they were as follows: “Food and Agriculture”, “United Economic Area of Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia. Transportation, Logistics, Technical Regulation”, “Investments, Energetics, Information Technologies”.

Business match-making round table became an integral element of the forum.
Following the results of the forum the parties agreed to organize a visit of Dutch businessmen to Belarus in 2013 to discuss the creation of the Belarus-Dutch Business Council.

On November 23, 2012 Mr.A.Martinkevich, Deputy Director of the High-Tech Park, and the representatives of the Belarus IT-companies took part in the Belarus-Russia-Netherlands IT-seminar where the Belarus side presented information and technological potential of our country.
