On the Visit of Mr.Valentin Rybakov, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus, to Mozambique

On May 20 – 23, 2013 Mr.Valentin Rybakov, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus, is on a visit to Maputo (Mozambique).

The Belarusian delegation includes Mr.Andrei Molchan, Ambassador of Belarus to the Republic of South Africa with concurrent accreditation in Angola, Zimbabwe, Mozambique and Namibia, Mr.Pavel Krupnov, Director – General of “Promagroleasing”, the representatives of “Minsk Tractor Works”, “Minsk Automobile Plant” and “Amkodor”.

On May 20 Mr.Valentin Rybakov made a speech at the ceremony of the opening of the permanent selling exhibition of Belarus’ machinery and equipment in Maputo, allocated on the territory of Belarus-Mozambique enterprise «BelAfrica Ltd.». During the event the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus held a meeting with Ms.Maria Jonas, Governor of the Maputo Province. Ms.Maria Jonas expressed interest in developing cooperation with Belarus, primarily in the sphere of foodstuff manufacturing. Mr.Valentin Rybakov held negotiations with Mozambique businessmen.

During the visit to Maputo Belarus’ delegation is planning to hold meetings with Mr.Alberto Vaquina, Prime-Minister of Mozambique, the officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Industry and Trade, Ministry of Defense, Union of Entrepreneurs and Rural Development Fund.
