On the Session of the Working Group on Energy Cooperation

On November 21-22, 2012 the 6th session of the Belarus-Czech working group on energy cooperation created in the framework of the Intergovernmental Belarus-Czech Mixed Committee on economic, industrial, scientific and technical cooperation is taking place in Prague.
The Belarus delegation is headed by Mr.Leonid Rydinsky, Director General of “Beltopgas”, the Czech – by Yan Zaplatilek, the Director of the Department of gas and liquid fuel industry of the Czech Ministry of Industry and Trade.
The Belarus delegation included the representatives of the Ministry of Energy, the enterprises “Belenergo”, “Beltopgas”, Gomeltransneft Dryzba”, “Directorate for the construction of the atomic power station”.
During the session the parties discussed cooperation in energy and gas industry, joint projects that are carried out in Belarus, participation of Czech companies in the construction of hydroelectric power stations, fuel and energy stations in Belarus, joint production of high-tech power engineering equipment, cooperation in the sphere of renewable energy sources.
The Belarus delegation visited atomic power station “Temelin” and company «ŠKODA JS-Plzeň» and held negotiations with Czech energy companies on the realization of new joint projects.
