On the 9th Session of the Belarus-Kazakhstan Intergovernmental Committee on Trade and Economic Cooperation

On November 8, 2012 the 9th session of the Belarus – Kazakhstan Intergovernmental Committee on Trade and Economic Cooperation took place in Astana.

The Belarusian part of the Committee was headed by Mr.Mikhalai Rusy, Deputy Prime – Minister of Belarus, the Kazakhstani – by Mr.Vladimir Bozko, Emergencies Minister of Kazakhstan.


During the session the parties discussed the results of  bilateral cooperation in 2012 and prospects for 2013, in particular, the development of investment cooperation, the creation of the joint Belarus-Kazakhstan tech-industrial park of agricultural and municipal vehicles in Kokshetau, joint assembling of tractors, automobiles, elevators, joint projects in agriculture, consumer industry as well as in science and petrochemistry.


During the event Belarus company  “Gomelhlebprom” and Kazakhstan enterprise  “Shanirak” signed Memorandum of Cooperation.


On November 9-11, 2012 the Belarusian delegation led by Mr.Mikhail Myasnikovich, the Prime-Minister of the Republic of Belarus visited Kazakhstan. Mr.Aleksander Mikhnevich, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, was the member of the Belarusian delegation. The delegation took part in the 2nd session of the Working Committee on coordination of the activities of the Scientific and Educational Consortium between higher educational establishments and Research and Development institutions of Belarus and Kazakhstan, and in the 1st session of the Business Council on cooperation between Chambers of Trade and Commerce of Belarus and Kazakhstan.


During the visit the parties signed a number of intergovernmental agreements in the sphere of agriculture, industry, forest sector.
