On Belarusian-Austrian Economic Forum in Vienna

On October 1, 2013 the Belarusian-Austrian Economic Forum will be held in Vienna at the premises of the Austrian Economic Chamber. The event is co-organized by the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Embassy of Belarus in Austria.

The Forum will be attended by the representatives of the Austrian state structures, private enterprises, commercial and consulting companies, banks and insurance firms, who are interested in developing business with the Republic of Belarus.

The Belarusian side will be represented at the Forum by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus Mr.Aleksandr Guryanov and the delegation of business circles headed by the Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mr.Mikhail Myatlikov. The delegation includes representatives of state and private enterprises, banking and consulting companies.

At the plenary meeting of the Forum the Member of the Board on Industrial and Agro-Industrial Complex of the Eurasian Economic Commission Mr.Sergei Sidorsky will present the report on “New opportunities of cooperation within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Area”.

The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus Mr.Aleksandr Guryanov in his statement at the Forum will focus on prospects of trade and economic interaction between the Austrian businessmen and the Republic of Belarus, also taking into account the specific features of the functioning of the Customs Union and the Common Free Market Zone.

Belarusian and Austrian enterprises will hold business match-making session. Representatives of the Belarusian business circles will also visit the International Exhibition for Automation Industry “SMART Automation Austria 2013”, as well as Austrian enterprises.

During the visit of the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus Mr.Aleksandr Guryanov to Vienna the meetings with the Chairman of the Austrian part of the Belarusian-Austrian Joint Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation, Deputy Minister of Economy, Family and Youth of Austria Ms.Bernadette Gierlinger, the Head of Section III (European Union, Political and Economic Issues) of the Federal Ministry of European and International Affairs of Austria Mr.Werner Almhofer, as well as with the leadership of the Austrian Economic Chamber and representatives of the Austrian business community will be held.
