On the Consultations between Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Belarus and the Republic of South Africa

On May 13, 2013 the consultations between Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Belarus and the Republic of South Africa took place in Minsk. The Belarusian side was headed by Ms.Alena Kupchyna, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus, the South African – by Mr.Marius Fransman, Deputy Minister of International Relations and Cooperation of South Africa.
During the meeting the parties discussed the development of cooperation in trade, industry, agriculture, education, science and technologies.
The sides considered the prospects of Belarus’ cooperation with the South African Development Community and interaction between Belarus and South Africa in what concerns BRICS activities.
The parties discussed the current issues of interaction between the two countries in international organizations.
