Response of the Deputy Head of the Department of Information — the Head of the Press Service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus Maria Vanshina to the question of journalists about Marcus Löning?s visit to the Republic of Belarus
09 February 2012The Belarusian party does not find Mr. Löning’s visit to Minsk necessary. Unfortunately, his “contribution” to the Belarusian-German relationships cannot be viewed as a positive one.
The Belarusian side did not leave without attention the cases of denial of entry to the Federal Republic of Germany for Belarusian officials, including those in the possession of a valid Schengen visa, who were to participate in the events of international nature.
To pass the letter, mentioned by Mr. Löning, there is no need in a messenger. There are conventional diplomatic channels for this. Incidentally, the German side made use of it today and transmitted the letter.
