On the Participation of Mr.Vladimir Makei, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus, in the Session of the CSTO Foreign Ministers Council in Bishkek

On May 27, 2013 Mr.Vladimir Makei, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus, took part in the session of the CSTO Foreign Ministers Council in Bishkek.



During the meeting the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the CSTO member-states considered the issues of international security, discussed the state of foreign policy coordination and outlined the ways of interaction development between the member-states.

Following the results of the session the parties signed the Statement on behalf of the CSTO member-states Foreign Ministers on the current international issues. The sides agreed to keep to the unified position in the international arena on a number of issues.

Mr.Vladimir Makei took part in the joint session of the Foreign Ministers Council and the Committee of Security Council Secretaries. During the session the parties discussed the current state of the collective security system in the conditions of the existing challenges and threats and the way of its improvement.

The sides signed a number of documents that regulate the preparation and execution of peace maintaining operations by means of collective peace-keeping forces of the Collective Security Treaty Organization.

The parties also held a number of bilateral meetings.
