On the Joint Meeting of the Boards of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Belarus and Russia

On October 30, 2012 a regular Joint Meeting of the Board of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus and the Board of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia was held in Minsk.
 
 
 
 
The parties discussed cooperation of the two states in international organizations, including the interaction in the UN human rights activities, the OSCE reform process and preparation for the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the OSCE.
 
The foreign ministers of Belarus and Russia Vladimir Makei and Sergey Lavrov signed the Plan of Consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation in 2013.
 
During the bilateral meeting of Vladimir Makei and Sergey Lavrov pressing issues of the Belarusian-Russian cooperation were discussed, including the implementation of the Program of coordinated actions in the foreign policy of the Parties to the Treaty on the Union State for 2012-2013. The ministers also exchanged views on issues of common interest of the international agenda.
