On the Participation of the Ambassador of Belarus to Bulgaria in the Celebrations on the Occasion of the 136th Anniversary of the Shipchenski Epic

On August 24, 2013 Mr.Vladimir Voronkovich, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Bulgaria, took part in the celebrations dedicated to the 136th anniversary of the Shipchenski Epic.

Within the event Mr.Vladimir Voronkovich had a talk with the President of Bulgaria Mr.Rosen Plevneliev.

The Ambassador of Belarus congratulated the Head of Bulgaria on the national holiday, wishing peace, welfare and prosperity to the Bulgarian nation. He marked that Belarusian soldiers which took part in the battles in Shipka made contribution into the liberation of Bulgaria.

Mr.Rosen Plevneliev voiced the idea of creating at the Shipchenski memorial the avenue of flags of the countries that participated in the liberation of the country.

Mr.Vladimir Voronkovich held meetings with the representatives of the National Assembly and the governors of a number of regions that presented at the celebration.

The Ambassador visited memorial Church of Nativity in Shipka and laid a wreath at the memorial stone to the soldiers of the 54th Minsk infantry regiment.
