On October 16, 2020 the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Alexandr Guryanov, met with the Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the statutory and other bodies of the CIS, Andrei Grozov.
The parties discussed the current situation in the region of the Commonwealth of Independent States, including the challenges that the CIS member states face at present.
The sides also negotiated issues of multilateral interaction and realization of joint events, including ones within the framework of the upcoming chairmanship of the Republic of Belarus in the CIS in 2021.
