As briefed by Press Secretary Andrei Savinykh on 26 May 2011
Today, a visit by a delegation of the Korea Importers Association (KOIMA) to Belarus is coming to a close. The delegation included around 20 representatives of the South Korean businesses importing products of machine building, agriculture, petrochemistry, and timber processing. The visit was organized by the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and assisted by the Belarus Foreign Ministry.
On 25 May, the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry hosted a highly successful Belarus-Korea business seminar and talks between the business communities of Belarus and Korea.
Yesterday, the chairman of the KOIMA met with Belarus Deputy Prime Minister Sergei Rumas and Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Guryanov.
The visit resulted in the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and KOIMA which sets out events to foster trade and economic ties between Belarusian manufacturers and Korean importers.
