Artist Valery Shkarubo to open his exhibition in the Foreign Ministry

On 1 July 2008, the Foreign Ministry of Belarus (at ul. Lenina, 19) at 4 p.m. will host an opening of the exhibition by Belarusian artist Valery Shkarubo.

Foreign Minister Sergei Martynov is expected to unveil the exhibition.

The media interested in the coverage are required to arrive in the Foreign Ministry on 1 July not later than 3.45 pm.

Note:

Valery Shkarubo’s creativity has a strong link with Belarus. He graduated from the Belarusian State Theatre and Arts Institute and has been a member of the Belarusian Union of Artists since 1989.

His major theme is nature of Belarus. A series of Valery Shkarubo’s paintings “Eternal (Izvechnoye)” is a winner of the National Prize of Belarus.

The artist held around 30 personal exhibitions, with his paintings successfully exhibited in Austria, Italy, Germany, France, Russia, China, Japan, US and other countries.
