Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus Y.Ambrazevich takes part in the transfer of medical equipment

On September 22, 2022 the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Yuri Ambrazevich, on behalf of the National Coordinator for Sustainable Development Goals, took part in the transfer of a batch of oxygen concentrators to the Minsk Central District Hospital.

 

 

For reference: Oxygen concentrators are used to treat coronavirus infection. The use of an oxygen concentrator allows you to remove the symptom of hypoxia, enrich the blood with oxygen, improve the functioning of the immune system, and improve the functioning of blood vessels and the heart.

The event was held as part of the implementation of the project “Supporting the operation of the architecture for managing the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals of the Republic of Belarus – 3”, funded by UNDP, UNICEF and UNFPA in the Republic of Belarus and implemented in partnership with the National Coordinator for the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus.

The UN Resident Coordinator in the Republic of Belarus, Joanna Kazana-Vishnevetsky, UNDP Resident Representative, Alexandra Solovieva, UNICEF Deputy Representative Gabriella, Yvonne Akimova, and Head of the UNFPA Office in Belarus, Olga Atroshchenko, also took part in the procedure for handing over the equipment to the hospital.
