Foreign Minister of Belarus S.Aleinik meets the Minister of Lands, Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Rural Development of Zimbabwe

On June 9, 2023 Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Sergei Aleinik, met with the Minister of Lands, Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Rural Development of the Republic of Zimbabwe, Anxious Masuka.

The interlocutors highlighted the friendly and mutually respectful nature of bilateral relations.

Confirmed their commitment to the full implementation of agreements in the field of agriculture and food production, achieving food security in Zimbabwe, discussed the supply of agricultural machinery and equipment to Zimbabwe from Belarus, the possibility of using advanced Belarusian experience and technologies in the creation of agro-industrial enterprises in Zimbabwe.

A.Masuka conveyed a Special Message from the President of the Republic of Zimbabwe to the President of the Republic of Belarus.

The visit of the Minister of Agriculture of Zimbabwe is an important element of the implementation of the agreements reached during the state visit of President A.Lukashenko to Harare in January 2023, as well as the visit of the First Lady of Zimbabwe A.Mnangagwa to the Republic of Belarus in April this year.

During their stay in Belarus, the Zimbabwean delegation headed by Minister A.Masuka will visit a number of Belarusian milk and meat processing enterprises, take part in the 33rd International Agricultural Exhibition "Belagro", as well as in the first meeting of the Belarusian-Zimbabwean Working Group on Cooperation in agriculture.
