Japanese University Matsumoto and Gomel State Medical University Sign Cooperation Agreement

The Japanese university Matsumoto and Gomel State Medical University have signed an agreement on permanent academic cooperation, rector of the university Sergey Zhavoronok informed.

According to him, the main working direction with the Japanese colleagues will be cooperation in the sphere of applied medicine. In particular, different liver pathologies are set to be researched. The matter also concerns performing unique liver transplantation operations. Moreover, mutual training courses for professors and students will be organized.

According to the rector, Gomel State Medical University has links with many leading medical establishments: Nagasaki University (Japan), the pediatric institute (Krakow, Poland), the children’s diabetes clinic in Florence (Italy), the Rogama military-rehabilitating center (Sri Lanka), the medical faculty of Aberdeen University (Scotland), three American universities, Russian universities and research institutes.
