Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus S.Aleinik meets the IAEA Deputy Director General

On November 30, 2021, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus Sergei Aleinik met with Deputy Director General, Head of the Department of Technical Cooperation Director of the IAEA Hua Liu.
The interlocutors noted that the IAEA technical cooperation program is an effective mechanism for the dissemination of best practices, technical and expert support of states in the peaceful use of nuclear technologies, and also noted the active participation of Belarus in this program.
S.Aleinik thanked the Agency for support in strengthening the capacity of medical institutions in the country to respond to the pandemic and fight cancer.
During the meeting, an agreement was also reached on signing in the near future a framework program of cooperation between Belarus and the IAEA for 2022-2027.
