On the Consultations between Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Belarus and Slovakia

On April 21 – 23, 2014 Belarusian delegation headed by Ms.Alena Kupchyna, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus, is on a visit to Bratislava (Slovakia).

On April 22 the consultations between Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Belarus and Slovakia took place. The Slovak delegation was headed by the Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of Slovakia Mr.Peter Burian.

Within the consultations Ms.Alena Kupchyna held negotiations with Deputy Prime-Minister – Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of Slovakia Mr.Miroslav Lajčák.

Later on the same day the Belarusian delegation headed by Ms.Alena Kuphyna met with the Head of the Group of friendship with Belarus of the Slovak Parliament – Head of the Constitutional Committee of the National Council of Slovakia and other representatives of the Slovak Parliament.

Within the meetings and negotiations the parties discussed the dynamics and prospects of Belarus-Slovakia bilateral relations development, the activation of the interparliamentary cooperation, interaction within international organizations, relations with neighbouring countries and EU.

The Belarusian delegation visited the exhibition “Slovak meetings of Janka Kupala” in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Slovakia. Ms.Alena Kupchyna met with the State Secretary of the Slovak Ministry of Culture Mr.Ivan Secik. The parties discussed further development of Belarus-Slovakia cultural relations.
