Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus M.Barysevich meets the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea

On April 7, 2021, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus Mikalai Barysevich met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to the Republic of Belarus Tae Jun Youl.
The Parties discussed issues of Belarusian-Korean interaction in the political, trade and economic spheres, as well as practical steps to intensify bilateral cooperation.
Special attention was paid to the organization of meetings of the Joint Committee of the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Korea, the Belarusian-Korean Business Council, as well as to practical steps aimed to enhance cooperation within the framework of the “New Northern Policy”.
Background Information: «New Northern Policy» is a set of measures to enhance economic cooperation of the Republic of Korea with states and integration associations of the Eurasian region, including the EAEU.
The preparations to mark the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the countries, to be celebrated in 2022, were also discussed.
