On 19 June, Belarus Foreign Minister Sergei Martynov met with Secretary of State of the Holy See Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone, giving spotlight to the issues of co-operation between the Republic of Belarus and the Vatican.

The parties exchanged opinions about the possible ways of enhancing co-operation between Minsk and the Holy See and worked out specific steps to strengthen the bilateral collaboration.
