Deputy Foreign Minister Valery Voronetsky visited Slovakia

On 23–24 June, Deputy Foreign Minister of Belarus Valery Voronetsky visited Slovakia to take part in the 9th meeting of the Belarus-Slovakia joint commission on trade, economic and scientific co-operation.

Valery Voronetsky met with Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico and Minister of Foreign Affairs Miroslav Lajčák.

The meeting with the Prime Minister focused on issues of bilateral relationship and in particular on scaling up trade and economic co-operation. The two sides also discussed Belarus-EU relationship. Valery Voronetsky highlighted a critical role that Slovakia could play in intensification of political dialogue and economic co-operation between Belarus and the EU. He handed over to the Prime Minister a list of investment projects that Slovakia could engage in.

Issues of bilateral relationship, Belarus-EU dialogue and issues of international agenda were a subject of discussion in a meeting with the Slovak Foreign Minister.
