Priorbank Wins The Banker Magazine Award
The renowned magazine The Banker of the Financial Times group declared Priorbank the winner of the prestigious premium Bank of the Year 2003 in Belarus.
Priorbank’s information and public relations department informed that the award testifies not only to quantity aspects such as the gross assets, but also the development of modern technical infrastructure, the choice and installment of future-oriented technologies.
Priorbank, that was invested in by Raiffeisenbank in 2003, is the first Belarusian bank, receiving such an award. At the ceremony in London it was noted that Priorbank is an unchallenged Belarusian leader in innovation technologies, who uses modern banking technologies and actively develops the plastic card business. Besides, Priorbank is the only Belarusian bank performing operations by e-mail.
At the end of the first half of 2003 bank assets totaled ? 305 million. It employs over 2,250 staffers in 68 branches servicing over 400,000 clients, including 376,000 private ones. It is the third largest bank in the country.
The Bank of the Year 2003 award has been also conferred to Raiffeisen Zentralbank Osterreich AG (RZB-Austria) and another three included in the RZB Group: Raiffeisen Bosnia and Herzegovina, Tatrabank (Slovakia), and Raiffeisen of Serbia and Montenegro.
