1992 – 1993 – Charge d’Affaires of the Republic of Belarus to the USA.
1993 – 1997 – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the USA.
1997 – 2001 – First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus.
2001 – 2003 – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Kingdom of Belgium, Head of the Mission of the Republic of Belarus to the European Communities, Head of the Mission of the Republic of Belarus to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization.
Since March 2003 – Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus.

Born on 19 October 1965 in the village of Negliubka, Vetka District, Gomel Region.

Graduated with honours from Vilnius Higher Command School for Air Defence Radioelectronics (1986), graduated with distinction from the Military Krasnoznamenny Institute (1992) and the Academy of Public Administration under the aegis of the President of the Republic of Belarus (1998).

Born on 28 January 1965 in Minsk.

Education: Minsk State Pedagogic Institute of Foreign Languages (1986), Diploma in the German and English languages; Diplomatic Academy in Vienna (1993), Diploma in International Relations.
 

1992 – Joined the Diplomatic Service of the Republic of Belarus.
1994–1995 – Deputy Head of the State Protocol Division, State Protocol Service, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus.
1995–1996 – Consul, Consulate General of the Republic of Belarus in the Hague, Netherlands.
1996–1999 – Chargé d’Affaires, Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in the Netherlands, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Belarus to the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons.
1999–2002 – Head of the State Protocol Service, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus.
2002-January 2009 – Permanent Representative of the Republic of Belarus to the UN Office and other International Organizations in Geneva, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Holy See and to the Sovereign Order of Malta (with residence in Geneva).
From January 2009 – Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Belarus retaining his Ambassadorship to the Holy See and to the Sovereign Order of Malta.

Born on 8 December 1972 in the town of Lomonosov, Leningrad oblast of Russia.

Graduated from Belarusian State Economic University (International Economic Relations & Foreign Trade) in 1994. In 1993 – 1995 passed training programs of UNDP and Economic Institute of the World Bank, studied at the Joint Vienna Institute. Participated in educational and research projects of the World Bank as consultant-trainer during 1995 – 1997.

1993 – 1997 — Expert, Chief Specialist, Head Division, Deputy Director of Credit & Investment Department of the Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations of Belarus.
1997 – 1999 — Commercial Secretary of the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in the Republic of Poland.
1999 – 2002 — Deputy Head of mission, Counsellor of the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in the United Arab Emirates (political and commercial affairs for GCC countries).

2006 – October 2010 — Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Korea.
