1997 – 2000 – Member of Government, Head State Committee for Science and Technologies.
2000 – 2005 – Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Austria/Resident Representative to the International Organizations in Vienna.
March 2005 – Appointed Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs.

Other: Author of more than 150 scientific publications, patents and some books in physics, information technology and education. Since 1998 Editor-in-Chief, Scientific Journal “Nonlinear Phenomena in Complex Systems”. State Prize Laureate in the field of Science and Technology. Fellow of a number of national and international science and educational academies.

Graduated from the Belarusian National Technical University (1985) and the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation (1995) where majored in international economic relations. PhD in economics.
